Field of Prayers
He said to the man, “If you build it, he will come.”
So, he built it, and the man came. While all of this was going on, off camera, the owner of the cornfield was praying to God for rain so that he would have a crop for his family.
However, the coach of the baseball team was praying to God for no rain so that his team could play their games.
Then, the son of the farmer who played pitcher for the coach stood on the mound watching the clouds roll over the mountain. He lifted his eyes to heaven and said, “Lord! What are you going to do?” God smiled, looked down, and said, “I’m not in control; you are. It’s not about rain or no rain.”
The pitcher replied, “What do you mean?” God said, “You can use your dome for baseball games Monday through Saturday, and on Sunday after you have church in the dome, give all the tithes to the farmer’s storehouse.”
Shortly after that, a young boy yelled out, “Is that Joel Olsteen on the mound?”
